Single Fold Up Seat

The Fold Up Seat System has been developed by Braiden International UK Ltd. specifically for use in Vans, Minibuses & Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, which transports Wheelchair Users. It allows more space around the wheelchair-dedicated position for the attendant to attach the wheelchair restraints.

	Step 1. Grasp the bottom of the seat cushion base frame with one hand and place the other hand on the headrest end of the seat unit. Pull the seat unit firmly downward until the seat base rests on the base frame. Caution: The seat folding mechanism is assisted by a gas strut, which provides force to hold the seat in the up and down positions. Keep hands away from moving parts and don't let go of the seat until the folding operation has been completed.
	Step 2. Holding the top of the seat backrest, pull upwards until the seat backrest clicks and locks in place. Give the seat back a slight wiggle to check that it is locked. The seat is now ready for use.
	Releasing the Seat Backrest Lock & Folding the Seat Away. There is a stainless steel rod, which runs along the width of the seat base at the bottom of the seat backrest. Pull the rod upwards until the seat backrest is released. Once released, fold the seat backrest forward onto the seat cushion Grasping the bottom of the seat cushion base frame with one hand and the other hand on the headrest pull gently upward towards the vehicle wall Keep a firm hold of the seat during this operation as there is a force applied to the seat frame by the gas strut
